‘Anthony’s Fish Grotto’ has a chance to remain open after 52 years
SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Anthony's Fish Grotto, on the downtown waterfront, still has a chance to remain open after its 52-year lease is up.
On Tuesday, the Port of San Diego held a meeting to discuss replacing the popular restaurant when the lease ends in 2017.
The Port staff had recommended tow different local companies to replace Anthony's, Brigantine Inc. and Sunroad Enterprises.
The board accepted proposals from those two companies as well as Anthony's so the restaurant could potentially stay open.
