Apartment rent in San Diego reaches an all-time high of $1,960
SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – The price of renting an apartment in San Diego has reached an all-time high.
According to a new report from MarketPointe Realty Advisors, the average rent cost is $1,960 a month in September 2018.
The increase was mainly due to nine new apartment complexes opening this year. There are some signs that rent increases could be slowing because of market saturation and affordability constraints.
But, San Diego is still cheaper than other markets. Out of 100 cities, San Diego had the 10th highest rent.
The highest markets were San Francisco, New York City, San Jose, and Los Angeles.
