Arrest made in attack that paralyzed La Jolla man

NEW ORLEANS (KUSI) – An arrest has been made in attack that left a retired La Jolla man paralyzed while he was on vacation in New Orleans.

30-year-old Christopher Smith has been arrested and charged with second-degree battery for paralyzing 64-year-old Doug David during a road rage attack near the French Quarter last month.

Smith was booked into a New Orleans prison Sunday night and bail has been set at $35,000. 

The Facebook page Justice for Doug David (https://www.facebook.com/justicefordougdavid/) was set up to help update the public on David’s recovery.
