Assemblyman Todd Gloria is San Diego’s only top mayoral candidate to support AB 5

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – San Diego Mayoral candidates are participating in a forum with people from the commercial real estate industry to answer questions surrounding housing issues in the city and other policies.

Monday night, the candidates met at a separate forum in La Jolla to detail their position on a variety of topics that San Diegans care about, including the controversial bill AB 5. San Diego’s Assemblywoman Lorena Gonzalez is the author of AB 5, and mayoral candidate Todd Gloria is one of the co-author’s. Assemblyman Todd Gloria also voted in favor of the bill many are finding detrimental to their ability to earn a living.

Democrat candidate Barbara Bry wasn’t featured on the video, but is also in favor of repealing AB 5.
