Athletes around San Diego commit to their future colleges on National Signing Day

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Feb. 2nd is Signing Day for Football players around San Diego County. Today they are committing to their college where they will play football at the next level.

On “Good Morning San Diego”, KUSI’s Allie Wagner was out at Cathedral Catholic to talk with some of the signees about where they are going and why. Allie talked with Ava Enriquez (Volleyball), Tanoai Letuli (Football), Erik Cole (Football), Kelsey Branson (Soccer), Taylor Reed (Soccer), Amelia Scherer (Rowing), and Chloe Ewart (Rowing) about where they will be competing in college.

Kacey McKinnon was out in Mission Hills to preview their signing day in the early morning. She talked with Matt Martin (Football), Jaiden Letua (Football),  and Gunnar Hensley (Football) about where they are commuting to play in college.

Big day out at St. Augustine as three Saintsmen made it official. Out of those, Gracen Halton deciding he will be making his home at Oklahoma for the next 4 years.

The Lincoln Hornets with a whopping 8 signing today and hoping for a few more on the way. 3 of them off to Pac-12 programs!

Omar Hammond and Elijiah Lux are taking their talents from Patrick Henry to Portland State.

Conor Lawlor and Jalen Shaw are taking the trip from Scripps just out west to USD!

These Scotties are ready to take the leap into college sports!

One of these Cougars is staying a Cougar at BYU, one is headed to Dixie State, and one is headed to McPherson College.

It was a one man show out at La Costa Canyon for Zoom Esplin a he is zooming out to BYU to become a Cougar.

You have probably heard of the OG out of Orange Glen. Malachi Keels is Mountain West bound!
