Attorneys file lawsuit challenging Assembly Bill 1054

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Assembly Bill 1054 was rushed through the State Legislature by Governor Gavin Newsom just two weeks after its introduction in Sacramento.

The bill gives $13.5 billion to utility companies for damages their wildfires caused.

Aguirre & Severson LLP filed a lawsuit challenging the bill, which they call a publicly funded bailout.
