SAN DIEGO (KUSI) — Authorities Wednesday released the name of a 56-year-old motorcyclist killed in a collision with a big rig on state Route 94 in Dulzura.

Novert Valdiez of San Diego was riding to the west when his Harley-Davidson veered across a set of double yellow lines and collided with the oncoming tractor-trailer near Campbell Ranch Road about 12:15 p.m. Tuesday, according to the California Highway Patrol and county Medical Examiner’s Office.

Valdiez died at the scene of the accident.

The trucker, a 30-year-old San Diego man, was unhurt, CHP public-affairs Officer Kevin Pearlstein said.
