Authorities looking for suspect in series of Ocean Beach robberies
SAN DIEGO – San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego Police Department are asking for assistance from the public to help identify and locate an unknown suspect wanted for a series of four armed robberies in the Ocean Beach area.
The suspect is described as a Latino who appears to be in his early to mid-20s, roughly 5 feet 8 inches tall and 165 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. In two of the cases, he fled in a white early 1990s-model Ford Escort or similar vehicle.
Authorities believed the man described above is connected with the string of robberies from Sept. 19 to 21, when the suspect accosted strangers for items or money while armed with a gun.
Authorities also believe others may be involved, and investigators believe the four cases are related.
