Authorities respond to reports of suspicious object in Pacific Beach

PACIFIC BEACH (KUSI) – 4:08 p.m. –  Bomb squad personnel have removed that suspicious-looking object from the alley where it was found Thursday afternoon in the area of Grand Avenue and Kendall Street in Pacific Beach, a fire department spokesman said. 

It’s not immediately clear if the thing was hazardous in any way.

2:45 p.m. – Authorities responded to reports of a suspicious-looking object in a back alley in Pacific Beach Thursday afternoon.

The fire department spokesman said the object resembled a pipe bomb and was located off the 1800 block of Grand Avenue, near Kendall Street.

No road closures or evacuations were announced.
