Missing 52-year-old man from Riverside found safe

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Saturday 10:41 a.m. A 52-year-old man, believed to be suicidal, and who had been missing since Thursday from his La Quinta home, has been found in Mexico, a police watch commander said Saturday.

"He is well and back home with his family,” according to a news statement from the San Diego Police Department.

John Scott Reynolds had made suicidal threats to family members and was last seen in La Quinta on Thursday, and in San Diego on Thursday night, San Diego police said.

He was found the next day in Mexico. Reynolds was believed to be traveling by bus, police said.

Friday 10:10 p.m. – John Scott Reynolds was reported missing from La Quinta, California on November 19.

Reynolds has made suicidal threats to family members and may be a danger to himself.

He left his home without his vehicle and is believed to be traveling by ubs.

Reynolds is a 52-year-old, white male, 6’4" tall, 200 lbs, sandy blond hair and hazel eyes.

Riverside deputies advised his last possible location was in San Diego on the evening of the 19th and was possibly heading to Mexico.

He was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt and jeans.
