Auto club urges drivers to check for kids and pets before exiting cars

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) –  Recently in San Diego, a toddler died after being left in the back seat of a car on a hot day.

With increased temperatures, it is critical that people don’t leave their children or pets inside of a hot car because it could be life threatening.

Doug Shupe from AAA was at KUSI to talk about these dangers and give us some tips on how to avoid such a tragedy.
