Back Tax Error, It Ain’t Right!

Tuesday, March 12, 2013 – A middle school principal called KUSI's Michael Turko when he got a letter from the state that made no sense. Turko says they accused him of trying to cheat on his taxes by not reporting the sale of a car he never owned. When Turko contacted the Board of Equalization they told me they were unable to comment on the case because of the confidentiality of tax information. But one day later Mike George got a call from the tax office. A call telling him the whole thing was a mistake and he owes nothing.
