Back-to-back bluff collapses over Labor Day weekend

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – A section of bluff collapsed at San Elijo State Beach in Cardiff on Sunday, one day after large rocks fell from a cliff between tower one and Flat Rock at Torrey Pines State Beach.

Throughout the summer, there have been at least four recorded  bluff collapses along San Diego County beaches.

Earlier this month, three women from the same family were killed when a cliff collapsed at Grandview Beach in Encinitas.

Residents are wondering what the County is doing to prevent more damage to their communities.
