Barona shooting suspect expected to be released from custody

SAN DIEGO – A San Diego woman accused of killing her boyfriend and young son is expected to be released, Las Colinas Detention Center confirmed.

Elaina Welch’s arraignment was canceled Thursday and the murder charges have been dropped.

Last Friday she was arrested after her boyfriend and son were found dead in her home on the Barona Indian Reservation.
