Behind Closed Doors!

Wednesday, January 16, 2013 – Last year KUSI's Michael Turko exposed an SDG&E plan to get the Public Utilities Commission to quietly okay a rate increase to cover wildfire damages. Now Turko says the power company is trying to convince the PUC to keep the public in the dark about big problems at the San Onofre Nuclear Generation Station. The Nuclear Regulatory Commission says the radiation leak at San Onofre did not pose a significant risk to the public and that proper safety procedures were followed. No word on when the PUC will make a decision on the secrecy issue.
