Behind the scenes of Helen Woodward Animal Center’s new adoptions building

RANCHO SANTA FE (KUSI) – Helen Woodward Animal Center gave Good Morning San Diego a behind the scenes look at their new Adoptions Building Friday.

Last January, the non-profit animal organization in Rancho Santa Fe broke ground on a brand new pet adoptions facility after tearing down the original structure built in 1972 when the Center was founded.

The new pet Adoptions building has a largely expanded medical area, brings the dog kennels completely indoors and provides a private entrance for pets being transferred to San Diego from overcrowded shelters and rescues around the country.

Helen Woodward Animal Center is holding a private ribbon cutting ceremony for donors and sponsors who helped fund the building Sunday afternoon.

The new adoptions center will be open to the public starting Wednesday, July 17. For more information about the new adoptions facility, visit Helen Woodward Animal Center’s website.
