Bengal Tiger Cub rescued from the border is recovering from successful surgery
The Bengal Tiger Cub that was confiscated at the border last summer is recovering from surgery.
“Moka” had surgery earlier this week to fix an intestinal obstruction and other medical issues.
According to the UT, the cub fell acutely ill on Sunday and the surgery was deemed necessary. He will be in observation for another week or so to ensure his recovery goes smoothly. San Diego Safari Park officials said it appeared Moka’s condition was likely the result of a poor diet or other complications suffered during his first six weeks of life.
