Body found in Point Loma ruled a suicide

POINT LOMA (KUSI) – FRIDAY 5:10 p.m. – Authorities have ruled the death of a woman in an upscale Point Loma neighborhood a suicide.

Thursday, police originally believed it was a suspicious death.

The body was discovered Thursday morning in a multi-million dollar home in the 700 block of Rosecrans Street.

The home is owned by Real Estate Attorney Robert Ball and Annika Bohl.

Neighbors said the couple was getting a divorce.

Homicide detective said Bohl’s injuries were self-inflicted and the cause of death was “trauma to the upper body.” 

THURSDAY 9:36 a.m. – The body of a female discovered in a Point Loma home Thursday morning prompted a police investigation into the cause of death. The body was found in the 700 block of Rosecrans Street near Bessemer Street just after 5 a.m. 

A preliminary reported suggested that the death was being treated as a suicide, but investigators have since ruled the death as ‘suspicious’ after finding signs of trauma on the woman’s upper body.

A man at the scene was being questioned by police.
