Body found near San Ysidro Port Entry

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – A decomposing body was found Wednesday in a river basin near the San Ysidro Port Entry, prompting law enforcement officials to open an investigation into the circumstances of his death.

U.S. Border Patrol agents discovered the body after being notified just after 5 p.m. Tuesday evening.

Authorities stated that due to the condition of the body, a cause of death could not be immediately determined, although evidence gathered at the scene suggests a suspicious death.
