Boy seriously injured in Skyline motorcycle accident

SAN DIEGO (CNS) – An investigation was under way Monday in the Skyline
area of San Diego, where a father and his 12-year-old son were involved a solo
motorcycle crash that left the boy with serious head trauma, police said.

The crash in the 8200 block of Skyline Drive was reported at 6:54 p.m.
Sunday, according to San Diego police Officer David Stafford.

The father, who is in his 50s, was driving his Harley-Davidson
motorcycle eastbound with his son as a passenger, Stafford said in a statement.

“(He) was riding at an unsafe speed and lost control of the bike,”
Stafford said. “The motorcycle and the riders slid into two parked cars.”

Paramedics took both riders to a local trauma center. The father had
minor cuts and bruising, and his son suffered serious head trauma, Stafford
said.
