Broken water main floods Vista home, closes road

VISTA (CNS) – A broken water main flooded a home in Vista early Wednesday, leaving residents to deal with several inches of standing water, authorities said.

The break in the 2200 block of Buena Creek Road was reported about 2:30 a.m., according to a North County Fire Protection District dispatcher.

A damage estimate was pending.

Buena Creek Road was closed between Monte Vista and South Santa Fe Avenue until further notice, according to the San Diego County Department of Public Works.
