Brush fire breaks out in vegetation in San Diego River
OLD TOWN (CNS) – Firefighters Sunday investigated the cause of a small brush fire that broke out in vegetation in the San Diego River beneath the Interstate 5 bridge today.
A San Diego Fire-Rescue dispatcher said the fire started at about 2:45 p.m. and was quickly extinguished. No structures were threatened and there was no word of any major delays on the roads or freeways in the area.
