Brush fire in Murrieta causes evacuations

MURRIETA (KUSI) — Firefighters are responding to a blaze burning near Murrieta and Temecula this afternoon. The Riverside County Fire Department says the fire is already estimated at 150 acres.

The fire is burning in area with heavy fuels with a rapid rate of spread.

An evacuation order was issued for the Santa Rosa Plateau Visitor Center located at 39400 Clinton Keith Road, CAL Fire Riverside said.  Clinton Keith Road was closed south of Avenida La Cresta.

Riverside County Fire Department and CAL Fire were responding to the fire.
