CA Congressman Darrell Issa discusses Trump, GOP, Hillary and Supreme Court on GMSD

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Republican U.S. Representative for California’s 49th congressional district, Darrell Issa joined the Good Morning San Diego team Friday to provide insight on some of the the most talked about topics currently in United States politics.

Congressman Issa, who has served on California’s 49th congressional district since 2001, was quick to dismiss his own introduction and jokingly address what the White House might look like with Donald Trump as President.

"Wait to see how much higher that can be. You realize (that) when (Donald) Trump is there, there’s four more stories of glass, a big gilded thing," the congressman said about the future Trump-lead White House. "And we’re not talking about renting the Lincoln bedroom, we’re talking about a couple hundred rooms. It pays for itself. It’s going to be huge!"

Issa went on to give his perspective and analysis on the current GOP race, new developments in Hillary Clinton’s email controversy and filling the open spot on the Supreme Court after the passing of Associate Justice Antonin Scalia.
