Caitlin Rother on the Rebecca Zahau trial
The trial continues in the Rebecca Zahau case.
In July of 2011, Zahau’s naked body was found bound and hanging from the balcony of her boyfriend’s mansion in Coronado.
Her family is disputing the official finding of suicide and is trying to convince a jury she was murdered.
However, Sheriff Bill Gore stands by his department’s findings that Zahau’s death was a suicide.
The family believes Zahau’s boyfriend’s brother — Adam Shacknai — killed her.
Shacknai’s attorney said there’s no evidence that points to his involvement.
Journalist and author Caitlin Rother has been following the case and joined KUSI to talk more about it.
