CALFIRE: Brush fire near I-8 in Alpine
SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – A brush fire was reported near the intersection of Interstate 8 and Willows Road in Alpine, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Authorities shut down lanes on the freeway in the area, a dispatcher said.
The Cleveland National Forest said just before noon that “forward rate of spread has been stopped at 3 acres and no additional resources are being requested.”
