CalGrant and Middle Class Scholarship Deadline

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – The deadline for several student aid programs including the Cal Grant and Middle Class Scholarship is coming up on March 2.

The Cal Grant covers tuition for University of California, California State University, California Community College, and qualifying independent, career, or technical schools in California.

The Middle Class Scholarship is for families with income and assets up to $171,000 which can cover up to 40% tuition.

College Planning Expert Ron Caruthers visited Good Morning San Diego to discuss the deadlines and gave advice to students and parents on ways they can qualify.
