California takes initiative in efforts to repeal gas tax

San Diego (KUSI) – Reform California sponsored the gas tax repeal and saw the change in language as an assault on the initiative process.

California voters decided to keep the 12 and a half cent increase last month but most people didn’t know what they were voting for. The Proposition 6 ballot title should’ve said “Repeal the gas tax”, when instead the attorney general changed it to say “eliminates funding for road repairs”.
