Calvary Christian Academy 48, Calvin Christian 6

Week 9 hosted the exciting game between the (3-2) Calvary Christian Academy Royal Knights and (4-4) Calvin Christian Crusaders. This game is the worst nightmare for a reporter, the names of the two schools are only separated by three letters. I coined this game the Calv Cup in honor of their similar names. Friday night ended up with Calvary Christian coming out on top with a score of 48-6.

The night started with a bang, with Jake Matsumoto returning the Crusader’s first kick-off 90 yards for a touchdown! Those 6 points really set the mood for the Royal Knights.

Royal Knight, Justin Santa Maria, had an impressive night beginning with a short 2 yard touchdown run to put the Knights in the lead, 13-0.

Respectively, Calvin Christian did put some points on the score board. Crusader, Michael Senti, managed to score a 39 yard touchdown run to score the only Crusader points of the night.

An array of Royal Knights would later score in the game. Justin Santa Maria continuously asserted his skills, while Quinten Harrison stiff armed to the end zone. Once again, Justin Matsumoto managed to score a touchdown run. Quarterback, Moises Hernandez, caught some action with a 1 yard QB sneak.
