Calvary Christian Academy 49, Lutheran 12
Calvary Christian Academy and Lutheran tackled on Friday night in the regular season finale in the first weekend in November with Calvary Christian Academy picking up the win 49-12. Senior night for Lutheran did not go quite according to plan. The game played at Monte Vista High School but it was considered a home game for Lutheran .
The Royal Knights struck quickly when they scored on a 39 yard run down the sideline to give CCA a 7-0 lead. However, the Knights from Lutheran reporesponded answered quickly wjemwhenlos Gonzales scampered on from five yards out for what appeared to be the tying score. But it didn’t play out that way after going for two and failing to convert being pulled down on a run to the right side. So they trailed the game 7-6 a that point and would never get any closer.
CCA then came right back down the field when Harrison faked a run to the right then pulled up for a pass to Chris Feather from 18 yards out, P.A.T. was good to increase the lead to 14-6. They continued to pull away from their and picked up a road win to improve to 5-2 overall and 3-1 in Ocean League play. While Lutheran closed the regular season finale 2-7 overall and 1-3 in league play. Playoffs begin on Friday November 14th.
