Candidate for San Diego City Council District 1 Joe LaCava

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Eight candidates are facing off to succeed Barbara Bry in the San Diego City Council District 1 race.

Among those running seven are Democrats including Aaron Brennan, James Rudolph, Will Moore and Harid Puentes. Lily Zhou is the lone Independent in this race.

The district includes the communities of Carmel Valley, Del Mar Heights, Del Mar Mesa, Pacific Highlands Ranch, La Jolla, Torrey Hills, Torrey Pines, University City and the University of California, San Diego campus.
