Car veers off freeway and ends up in ravine

The driver of an SUV suffered minor injuries after the vehicle left a freeway in San Diego County Sunday morning and landed in a ravine, according to the website of the Lakeside Fire Protection District (LFPD).

Heartland Communications Center dispatched two fire engines, a rescue company a medic unit and a duty chief to a report of a vehicle over-the-side on eastbound Interstate 8 just west of the Dunbar Lane off-ramp, according to the website.

The passenger side of the vehicle was caved in, according to the website.

CHP was investigated the incident.
