Car vs scooter crash seriously injures one woman

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – A crash in Mission Bay Park left one woman seriously injured.

The 31-year old woman was riding her scooter north on East Mission Bay Drive when the 45-year-old man behind the wheel of a Toyota Prius cab violated
the rider’s right of way while attempting to turn left into the driveway of the Hilton San Diego Resort & Spa around 5:15 p.m. Monday, according to San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros.   

The scooter crashed into the Prius and caused its rider a serious, but not life-threatening leg injury, Delimitros said.
