Carlsbad looking to expand tourism with Petal to Plate program

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Petal to Plate is back in Carlsbad, where resorts, spas, restaurants and breweries all take inspiration from Carlsbad’s popular Flower Fields to create floral-inspired drinks, food specials and spa treatments.

The Flower Fields are a hot spot, and for more than 60 years, mother nature has transformed the rolling hills of Carlsbad into the most spectacular display of natural color and beauty.

And to welcome Spring, the fourth annual Petal to Plate event begins in just a couple of months.

The event lasts for 10 days in the beginning of April and, in conjunction with participating restaurants, spas, resorts and breweries, aims to draw in tourists and encourage them to stay a few days.
