Carlsbad-based nonprofit Kids For Peace connects global youth

Carlsbad-based nonprofit organization Kids for Peace works with more than 10 million students in 122 countries to promote leadership, community service, and kindness.

It was founded in 2006 by a mother and a Carlsbad high school student, and they promote acts of kindness based on the following pledge:

I pledge to use my words to speak in a kind way.
I pledge to help others as I go throughout my day.
I pledge to care for our earth with my healing heart and hands.
I pledge to respect people in each and every land.
I pledge to join together as we unite the big and small.
I pledge to do my part to create peace for one and all.

Co-founder Jill McManigal stopped by Good Morning San Diego to talk about the organization and where it’s headed next.
