Castle Park High School parents & students rally over poor campus conditions

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Castle Park High students and parents are calling on Sweetwater Union High District for improvements to campus conditions.

KUSI’s Teresa Sardina got all the details about the schools conditions and what is being done about them on “Good Evening San Diego”.

Dozens of Castle Park High School students and parents rallied ahead of a school board meeting Monday to discuss the poor campus conditions, an issue not on the agenda, but using public comment. They are done being quiet and it is time to address the issues.

Adrian Gomez, ASB Vice President of Castle Park High School, told Sardina, “The fact that we have to apply to be on that agenda, you would think the district would would want to take it upon themselves to talk about what’s going on at the school. But you can understand how it looks really bad on them. So maybe they just chose to ignore it.”

Gomez still doesn’t understand how the school is operating with the current conditions after multiple complaints to the district.

Early on in the morning on Tuesday, Adrian Gomez joined KUSI’s Paul Rudy on “Good Morning San Diego” to discuss these issues further.
