‘Celebration of Oneness’ Inaugural Sikh Interfaith Awards honors community leaders

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – The San Diego Sikh Community is hosting their Inaugural Interfaith Award Celebration this Saturday.

The Chardi Khala Awards aims to raise awareness of the Sikh faith and its core values and to honor local community leaders and organizations who exemplify them.

The Sikh religion has more than 25 million members worldwide, and is the world’s fifth largest religion. Sikhs are active participants and citizens in all segments of society from farming, military, law enforcement, medicine, and defenders of civil liberties.
