Cell phone transmitters being attached to electric towers in La Jolla

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – New cell phone boxes are being installed onto electric towers in La Jolla.

While fast connections and next generation technology sound great, these things come at a cost. These boxes involve thousands of transmitters throughout San Diego.

Among other concerns, many La Jolla residents are worried about the radiation that these transmitters may introduce.
