Chemist Kim Prather: OC oil spill can have negative impact on San Diegans

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Gov. Newsom declared a state of emergency in Orange County, after about 126,000 gallons of oil spilled off the California coast.

Kim Prather, Chair of Atmospheric Chemistry at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography says the spill will likely have a negative impact on San Diego. She spoke with KUSI’s Lauren Phinney about the matter.
