Christian 42, Clairemont 3

Clairemont put forth a great effort against the undefeated Christian Patriots. The Chieftains of Clairemont never let the score discourage them from finishing the game strong. Last night’s game had a final score of 42-3, kudos to the Chieftains for holding the Patriots to what is their lowest scoring game of the 2014 season thus far. The only time Clairemont would score for the night would be on a field goal in the 2nd quarter, however fans remained supportive throughout the duration of the game. The Chieftains will face-off against Kearny next Friday.

The Christian Patriots are on a roll this season. Currently 8-0 and haven’t scored less than 40 points in a game, this is a team to lookout for. Against Clairemont Junior wide receiver Nick Sexton had an impressive game, he had 200 all-purpose yards, and a notable 80-yard kick return. However a key player for the night as well as for the season is the multifaceted Adrian Petty. Petty is a wide receiver and running back and as a junior he’s averaging 13.5/carry. He also has 17 touchdowns for the season and scored 3 times in last nights contest. The Patriots are currently tied with University City for 1st in the Central League, and these two teams will play each other next week to determine who will stand alone in the number one spot.
