Christian 56, Coronado 0

Coronado traveled to Granite Hills high where they took on the Christian Patriots on the night of homecoming and also senior night. The Patriots were able to put on a good show for the homecoming game and came out on top with a score of 56 to 0.

The Patriots won the toss and decided to receive the ball; on opening kick off, Adrian Petty was back to receive. Adrian was able to catch the ball, but unfortunately dropped it only to pick it up again at the 8 yard line, then went on to run the ball 92 yards all the way to the end zone for the first points on the board. The Islanders were then put under the impression that they were not going to have an easy game ahead of them.

Next scoring play, it was a offensive lineman that took the hand off from David Jeremiah and Laithe Isenmann ran the ball 13 yards! Big man made a big play and it was the best play all season! In the second, the Patriots tried a trick play that actually worked; David Jeremiah laterals to Brandon Hester, he pitches it back to Jeremiah and he throws the ball 40 yards to Trevor Howell in the end zone! The Islanders tried their hardest but came up short throughout the game. The Patriots had a bye in week six, and this was the first league game of the season; which puts the Patriots at 1-0 in league and the Islanders 0-1.
