Chula Vista Fire Department implements first Squad Response Unit

CHULA VISTA (KUSI)- To help save more lives, the Chula Vista Fire Department implemented its first Squad Response Unit. They say it will reduce costs and allow first responders to arrive at a medical emergency more quickly.

The Squad Response Unit will be positioned in areas where response thresholds are not being met.

This service was made possible by Measure A, which was passed by the Chula Vista voters last year.
