Chula Vista holds community forum to bring awareness on active shootings

CHULA VISTA (KUSI) – Police officials will held a forum Monday on strategies for responding to an “active-shooter incident” or other mass-threat event.

The two-hour session is designed to help employers and administrators of large gathering places, including houses of worship, identify potential threat indicators and how to respond to them; prepare meeting spaces to reduce potential threats; and effectively react to a shooting or other immediate critical threat.
