Chula Vista woman behind bars after stabbing husband

CHULA VISTA (KUSI) – A 23-year-old woman was behind bars today for allegedly stabbing her common-law husband outside a Chula Vista shopping center.

Abbie Delosreyes of San Diego was booked into the Las Colinas Detention Facility on suspicion of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, stalking and other charges in connection with the attack in the 1100 block of Broadway near Naples Street around 12:15 p.m. Thursday, Chula Vista police Capt. Lon Turner said.

Delosreyes was arrested after officers found the knife allegedly used in the attack in some nearby bushes, Turner said. A motive for the stabbing was not immediately made public.

The wounded 34-year-old victim was taken to UC San Diego Medical Center to be treated. Turner said he was expected to survive.
