City and County deal to split cost of experts for new Chargers stadium to be reviewed

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – The County Board of Supervisors and City Council will consider the tentative agreement between the city and county ofSan Diego to split the cost of retaining lawyers and other consultantsnecessary for a stadium project on Tuesday.

The deal being considered would evenly split expenses between the city and county for experts who will be needed to pound out the details of a stadiumconstruction project with the Chargers.

The city and county would each be capped at $250,000, and it would make the city the lead agency for any environmental reports required under the California Environmental Quality Act.

The mayor’s advisory is expected to deliver a financing plan in May.
