City of Philadelphia requires employees to get vaccinated or double mask

PHILADELPHIA (KUSI) – Here in San Diego, County officials are currently recommending fully vaccinated people wear masks, and mandating county and city employees are fully vaccinated, or undergo weekly COVID testing.

But across the country, the City of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is requiring its employees to get vaccinated or wear two masks.

A policy set to take effect September 1, 2021, will says “employees who are not fully vaccinated by September 1 will be required to wear two masks (a cloth mask over a disposable or surgical mask) at all times while working on-site.”

Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney tweeted out the policy saying they are “committed to keeping our employees safe from severe COVID infection and death.”
