Clairemont Mesa 7-11 robbed at gunpoint
SAN DIEGO (CNS) – A Clairemont Mesa-area convenience store was robbed at gunpoint Wednesday of cash and lighters, a police officer said.
Two suspects entered the 7-Eleven at 4091 Genesee Ave. shortly before 5 a.m. The gunman pointed his weapon at the clerk and demanded cash before both were given money and took a few lighters, San Diego police Officer Frank Cali said.
The pair of robbers fled northbound on Mount Alifan Drive with an undisclosed amount of money, Cali said.
Police described one suspect as white and about 6 feet tall, wearing a mask, a black hooded sweatshirt, blue cuffed jeans, black shoes and a backpack.
The other was white, 5 feet 9 to 6 feet tall, and wearing sunglasses, a black hat with a white logo, a black hooded sweatshirt, camouflage shorts and black and white shoes, police said.
