SAN DIEGO (CNS) – San Diego police Thursday were on the lookout for a man who robbed a pharmacy inside a Clairemont-area grocery store.

The robbery inside the Albertsons at 5950 Balboa Ave. was reported at 8 p.m. Wednesday, according to San Diego police Officer Robert Heims.

The robber approached the pharmacy counter and handed an employee a note demanding pills, Heims said in a statement.

The employee complied and the robber fled, he said. It was not immediately clear what types of pills were taken.

Police described the robber as an older 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-10 white man with a ponytail. He wore a black baseball cap with a white emblem, a white surgical mask, a black long-sleeved hoodie with an orange emblem and black pants.
