Cohen Veterans Network opens new mental health clinic in San Diego

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – A new mental health clinic in Mission Valley offers transportation and child care to get veterans help.

The newly opened Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Veterans Village of San Diego has short-term treatment for anxiety, depression, insomnia and other conditions among post-9/11 vets, but also helps address simple barriers that may keep them from asking for help.

The clinic focuses on assisting veterans who served after 9/11 and their families, but will help service members from any time.

Funding for the clinic, which is one of 14 across the country and the only one in California, comes from philanthropist Steven Cohen.
