Community questions development plans and projects in Barrio Logan

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Community members in Barrio Logan are raising alarms over development plans in their neighborhood.

They say they’re getting left in the dark about developments that could alter the character of their community.

Residents took to the streets to protest plans to develop the 2100 block of Newton Avenue after a couple businesses in the area closed down due to the developments.

The 2,000 square foot building on Newton Avenue was sold to a developer in September of 2018, but people living in the neighborhood say they’d like to have some idea of what’s going up in its place.
